Privacy Policy

1. The short version

To score and rewrite your CV, Jobr sends your CV and the job description to its server and on to Anthropic, whose AI (Claude) does the work. We save your CV, your jobs and your results in your account so you can come back to them on any device. We use a small number of service providers to run Jobr, listed below. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

2. What we collect

  • Account: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we also get the name and profile picture on your Google account.
  • Your CV and job descriptions: the text you paste or upload, the scores and rewritten CVs, interview prep and cover letters made from them, and your drafts.
  • Job tracks: companies, roles, application status, notes and the work saved with each job.
  • Credits and payments: your credit balance and history, and the UPI reference number you give us when you top up. We never see your bank or card details.
  • Mentor sessions and CV reviews: what you booked, when, the price, the status, and for a CV review the CV you sent the mentor and their feedback.
  • If you are a mentor: your profile (name, photo, bio, role, company, experience, domain, prices and availability), your WhatsApp number and meeting link, your UPI ID for withdrawals, and, if you connect Google Calendar, permission to add session events to it.
  • Merch: for a kit claim, your name, phone number, delivery address, the offer you got and the LinkedIn post you link; for team orders, your contact details and order.
  • Messages to us: support chat, the contact form and bug reports (your name, email, phone if you give it, your message and the page you were on); waitlist sign-ups (name, email, phone).
  • Usage: which pages are visited, recorded with a random ID kept in your browser (not your name or email); your Roast My CV scores; and the points and streaks in the workspace and the app.

3. How your CV is processed

When you score, optimise, roast or prepare for an interview, your CV and the job description go from your browser to Jobr's server over an encrypted connection, and from there to Anthropic's API. Anthropic returns the result to us and we show it to you and save it to your account. We send only what the feature needs. There is no option to use your own AI key: every request uses Jobr's account with Anthropic and is paid for with your credits.

4. Who we share it with

  • Anthropic: processes your CV, job descriptions and prompts to produce scores, rewrites and interview prep.
  • Supabase: stores your account and data and handles sign-in.
  • Vercel: hosts the website and runs our server code; Vercel Analytics counts page visits for us.
  • Resend: sends our emails, such as booking confirmations and top-up receipts.
  • Google: if you choose Google sign-in; and, for mentors who connect it, Google Calendar, to create session events with Meet links.
  • qrserver.com: draws the QR code for a UPI top-up. It receives the UPI payment link (our UPI ID and the amount), not your name or email.
  • Mentors and students: when you book a mentor, the mentor sees your name, email and booking details, and for a CV review the CV you send. After the mentor confirms, you get the session link. Mentors' WhatsApp numbers and earnings are never shown on public pages.
  • The law: we share data if we are legally required to.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

5. What stays in your browser

Jobr keeps your sign-in session, your current CV and job description drafts, and a few settings in your browser storage, so the workspace opens where you left it; signing out clears them. The site also stores a random visitor ID there to count page visits, and may keep copies of pages so it opens offline. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Security

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database access rules limit each account to its own data, and mentors' private details are kept in a part of the database other users cannot read. Our server logs replace email addresses with a one-way code. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open, so your jobs and CVs are there when you return. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data, except records we must keep by law, such as payment and credit records.

8. Your rights

  • Access: ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: fix your details in Profile & settings, or ask us to
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your account and data
  • Withdraw consent: stop using a feature, disconnect Google Calendar, or ask us to stop processing your data
  • Complaints: tell us if you think we have handled your data wrongly

Email legal@jobr.co.in with the subject "Privacy Request". There is no delete button in the product yet, so deletion is done by email. We will confirm when your request is done.

9. Changes and contact

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the product or by email when the change matters. Questions: legal@jobr.co.in.

Plainly: what happens to your CV. It goes to Jobr and to Anthropic to do the work you ask for, and it is saved in your account. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.
